Privacy Policy
GlobalChat processes a webpage address only after you click its toolbar button. It does not automatically monitor browsing, collect browsing history, or record page visits.
Page Rooms
For an activated page, the extension removes fragments and common tracking parameters, creates a SHA-256 room identifier locally, and sends that identifier to the service. The service stores the identifier and a hostname/path label only after the first message is posted. Raw query strings are not stored.
Accounts
Signed-in GlobalChat users may read public messages unless an account-level or website-level moderation ban applies. Posting requires a Google-authenticated account and a public username.
Google processes the OAuth login, and Supabase provides authentication, database, realtime, and server-function infrastructure. Supabase processes and stores the account identity and email needed for login. Other users cannot see your email address, Google identifier, authentication tokens, or Google profile information.
Information Stored
GlobalChat stores public usernames, messages, moderation reports, blocks, website-level bans, account status, moderation audit records, and security timestamps necessary to operate and protect the service. It does not sell personal information.
User Controls And Retention
Users may hide their own messages from public chat, block users, sign out, or request account deletion from Settings. Hidden messages are not physically destroyed; message content and moderation snapshots may remain visible to moderators and may be retained to investigate abuse, enforce policies, and respond to valid legal process.
Deleted accounts are disabled and anonymized in the product, but moderation snapshots such as user ID, last public username, message history, ban history, and audit records may be retained.
Google API Limited Use
GlobalChat's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
